Using CBD to support healthy weight loss while feeling great

The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is key to establishing and maintaining wellness and overall cellular balance in humans (and animals.) Keto Diet (Low-Carb / Low Sugar)

This diet has been super popular due to how well it works in a short period of time. By lowering your sugar intake, your body switches to fat burning for energy (called Ketogenisis.) Our CBD Tinctures support this diet by not having any sweeteners and by using a keto-friendly MCT Oil as a base. Many brands use regular MCT (Medium Chain Triglycerides) which is a blend of C10 and C12 with some C8. Ours is 97% C8 (like Bulletproof Oil) which means it’s comprised of only the smallest oil particles. The unique aspect of this oil is that it can be absorbed directly into your bloodstream without having to go through the normal stomach/liver metabolic process where it loses some CBD. If weight loss is a goal, a fasting period of about 12 hours is required to start the fat burning process. If you sleep for eight hours, you only need to make it 4 more hours after you wake to eat again. This is where C8 MCT Oil comes in handy. You can consume this oil without it being considered food since it’s not being metabolized the same way. Bulletproof Coffee Diet

The popular Bulletproof Coffee diet uses a combination of the above two methods to achieve weight loss and keep blood sugar low. The Bulletproof Coffee recipe includes putting the C8 MCT Oil and Butter (or Ghee) into Coffee and using that as your breakfast. The low sugar drink gives your body a little fuel up front in the MCT and a little fuel for after (the butter) but since this is a low-carb recipe, your body stays in ketosis and begins burning fat for fuel before you eat. If you follow this with a lean meat & salad for lunch you’ll continue the fat burning process even longer. If you’re able to eat a low carb dinner, you’ll continue to burn fat all night long to really kick extra weight to the curb quickly. It’s not always easy since sugars are hidden inside so many of our foods, but even a few days per week of this routine can help you achieve your goals.

So while CBD isn’t necessarily required for weight loss, it does support the processes that must occur for weight loss to happen. A persons endocannabinoid system appears to have an essential role in regulating basic human functions like sleep, eating, metabolism, and more. When this system is functioning correctly, weight loss can be a lot easier. CBD helps to restore homeostasis to the cells of the body and can be very useful in reducing fat accumulation and subsequent health risks related to excess body weight. Back in 2007, researchers concluded that CBD helped to decrease cravings for certain foods, which had the benefit of helping people to reach a healthy weight.
