Which is better for Arthritis, CBD Tinctures or CBD Topicals?

We get this question a lot and it’s a good one. Most people feel comfortable putting a lotion or salve on painful hands, knees or joints but is this the best way to achieve pain relief?

We think that in general, a CBD Tincture might actually be the best way since tinctures go into your bloodstream and travel to the source of pain, which is caused by inflammation inside the joints making them stiff and hard to move. CBD Topicals tend to be fast acting and easy to use, and you can put them right on the source of the pain. They will sink into your skin Hemp CBD Topical Salve Balmand muscle layers but won’t penetrate into your bloodstream or deep inside joints. This is where the power of a tincture helps it excel beyond topical relief. CBD Tinctures can get inside your joints and work longer than a topical for reducing inflammation and pain.

A recent paper published in the Journal Pain in December 2017 studied whether CBD could prevent osteoarthritis pain and joint neuropathy. Based on their findings, researchers affirmed that it did both because it decreased joint inflammation and served as a protectant to the nerves.

The feedback we’ve heard is that some people use both… A Tincture for everyday health and feeling better as well as a Salve for targeted relief where you need it most. We think this is pretty smart since we have pain receptors both inside our joints as well as in our muscles and skin so applying CBD from both directions may be a good move to help you move easier and feel better.
